Help with Joining
The website has been setup so you can add your membership information to the site one time, then maintain your own information as needed in the future.
You can look at the existing member directory to get an idea of some of the information that is required.
https://dev.fairgrovechamber.org/index.php/members/member-directory
These are the things you’ll need to know before you start.
- What plan you have paid for previously. Select the General membership level if you don’t know, we'll fix it later.
- Email address (You'll need to create a password for your new account)
- Business Owner name, first and last
- Company (Organization) Name
- Mailing Address, City, State and Zip
- Country
The following information is optional.
- Business Phone number
- Website address if you have one (must be a valid URL)
- Facebook page address if you have one (must be a valid URL)
- Map link address so people can navigate to your business (must be a valid URL)
- Your logo can be uploaded
If you are not already a member, you can join on this page. This information will be checked before it's accepted, so if you selected the wrong subscription price it will be corrected by the Chamber. The important thing is to get information entered.
There are a few things that you can do to make this task easier. On your computer, it helps if you can open a text editor such as Notepad and copy and paste these addresses to use when registering. Open each section below for help and collect the information you want to use.
Now go to Join Here on the dev.fairgrovechamber.org site and choose the plan you’ve already paid for. You will use “Offline Payment” to process the subscription.
Fill in the information using your billing address. You can fill in the complete URL for the website, Facebook and map directions by simply copying and pasting from the editor you used in the instructions below. None of these fields are required, you can skip any of them but the information must be correctly formatted so people can click the link when they’re viewing the page.
Web Page Address
If you have a website, open a browser and go to your website.
Highlight the address in the navigation bar and save it, then paste it to your text editor. It should look like this:
https://www.claritysoftwaresystems.com/
Facebook Page Address
If you have a Facebook page, open Facebook and go to your page.
Highlight the address in the navigation bar and save it, then paste it to a new line in the text editor. This can be highly variable, since some addresses are fairly short, and some are pretty long. Here are two examples:
https://www.facebook.com/Les-Mallard-Insurance-112774790900333
https://www.facebook.com/marthakek
Find your map location
If you want to put a Google Maps link on the directory (or any other map service that gives you a navigable link) you should get that link beforehand.
First, Google your business name.
If you’re on a PC
- A business summary should show up in a panel on the right side of the screen.
- Click the Directions button
- You should see a pin that is dropped on your business location
- Left-click the pin one time
- A new window will open on the left of the active window
- Click the Share icon in that window and a small window will open
- Click the Copy Link button next to the path
- Paste that path
If you’re on a smartphone you may have to figure this out for yourself, because behavior is pretty inconsistent.
Search for your business name. The business summary should be on your screen.
- Touch the Directions button
- You should see a pin that is dropped on your business location
- Touch the pin
- In the new box that opens at the bottom of your screen touch Share
- A box will open at the bottom and touch Copy Link
This link might have some extra text, which you should delete.
A valid example is here:

Paste that link into a new line on the text editor.
